Natural remedies that cure baldness

Posted by Elizebath Bijoy Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Excessive hair loss in the shower is a sure sign of progressive baldness.
Don't ignore hair loss or the onset of balding areas, these are signs of certain imbalances in the body and once these issues are addressed the baldness can stop and can even be reversed if the weakened hair follicles have not yet perished.

A dry scalp can be tight around the hair shaft root and make the hair thin, weak and brittle resulting in thinning hair that leads to excessive hair loss. Cleansing the scalp with non-irritating cleanser and nourishing treatments are key to healthier hair, in addition, hair is a body's waste product so nutrition plays a crucial role and so do supplements and/or vitamins.

 REASONS FOR HAIR LOSS
Hair loss or baldness is known as Alopecia which may result from aging, hormonal changes in the body, or it can be hereditary.  Prolonged stress, smoking, nutritional deficiencies, and chemotherapy may result in the thinning of the hair, temporary hair loss or may contribute to permanent pattern baldness and avoid chlorine water .Studies revels hard water leads to prematured greying for hair.

NATURAL WAYS TO STOP HAIR LOSS
 Herbalism:
  • A monthly rosemary oil scalp massage treatment and/or rangoli henna rub can stimulate and promote circulation to the scalp and the hair roots.
  • Rinse with a spoonful of lavender then shampoo, a final rinse of apple cider vinegar will make an excellent conditioner (apply vinegar carefully as it may sting or irritate the eyes).
  • Always use a non-acidic, alkaline-free, ph balanced cleanser, a soap bark shampoo, or a diluted tar based shampoo with some water to gently cleanse the hair and scalp.
  • Lemon juice and black tea are known to treat hair loss, apply a couple of hours before shampoo treatment and washing.
  • Aloe vera gel on the scalp for an hour will nourish a dry itchy scalp and will prevent / eliminate dandruff.
  • A sage tea treatment will help hair grow.
Naturopathy:
  • Vitamins C, E, B, Iron and Zinc are essential for healthy hair and hair growth nourishment.
  • A medicine rich in sulfur is important in the structure of the hair shaft.
  • The best treatment is to take vitamins that includes the herb saw palmetto and nettle root because they block certain hormones like metabolite of testosterone (DHT).
  • Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day.
  • Eat a serving of fresh fruits before each meal daily.
  • Lettuce, vegetables, spinach, broccoli, green peppers with a meal that consists of fish, eggs, meat or other protein is a great diet for optimal health and hair growth.
